Afternoon tea is less about the tea and more about slowing down for twenty minutes. This design is romantic and pretty, a treat for anyone who owns more teacups than she strictly needs.

The artwork

A floral chintz teapot and two matching cups on saucers sit with lemon slices, sugar cubes and a plate of shortbread, all framed by cabbage roses. Romantic gouache in rose pink, teal and gold on a soft cream ground.

Setting it up

1. Fold out the back support and pick one of the five angles.
2. Rest your cookbook, binder or tablet on the front ledge.
3. Ease the two page holders over the open pages to keep your place.
4. Done cooking? Fold it flat and slide it into a drawer, or leave the artwork on show.

• Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry.
• Not dishwasher safe; never soak.
• Keep clear of burners, hot pans and oven vents.
